Militello
The two churches
in Militello are examples of continuity in the construction tradition
which are totally dependent on local masonry in an urban context, which
is emblematic of feudal power. Militello is indeed a destroyed feudal
estate linked to the Branciforte family. The new urban design goes back
to the works of Prince Francesco Branciforte even before 1693, who joined
and absorbed the post earthquake reconstruction of the two events in one
unitary shape.
